ABOUT KARYN
Art historian, educator, traveler
I’m Karyn Dempsey. For 26 years I taught the humanities, guiding students through the art, architecture and ideas that shaped Western culture. My favorite classroom was always Europe itself: over 18 tours, I led students through its great cities, always to the museums, churches and landmarks that mattered most.
Today I bring that same experience to travelers who want more than a checklist of sights. I design itineraries built around art and history, and I share my passion through art history lectures for lifelong learners, travel groups and private audiences.
My favorite moment on any trip? When you stop seeing “just another painting” and start seeing the story behind it, because great art has always wrestled with and attempted to answer the most essential human questions.
